Group Strengths
It is important to know your strengths as a group, because then you can put them work in the most appropriate manner to succeed
One of our group strengths is our wide perspective and multifarious knowledge base. We bring together a diverse mix of sporting and cultural backgrounds, whilst all sharing the key quality of enthusiasm. This enables us to approach each task with a wide variety of ideas and a number of differing approaches to problem solving.
Our group itself is balanced because we all have different working styles. For example, Julius is a narrator in our group meetings, Caitlin does the organising, and Andy makes sure that despite all the work we still have fun in our group. These respective attributes balance nicely against each other, enabling a good level of productivity and atmosphere when faced with group tasks.
There is a clear division of roles within the group, designated according to each individual's strengths and areas of experience. For instance, Patrick his level of English is really high, so he proof-reads all our products. Caitlin makes sure that everything is done in time. However, we aim to spread responsibility evenly from member to member, and with flexibility should someone need additional assistance.
We have a healthy working atmosphere where each member is treated with respect and no idea is considered a bad idea. This is thanks in part to the healthy communication that we have, whether it is in group meetings, our Facebook group or in our Whatsapp chat. By healthy communication we mean treating each other with respect, let the other person finish and not interrupt, not taking criticism personal and giving a lot of feedback to each other. This allows us to make clear to each member exactly what is required of us as a group and as individuals to achieve our goals.
On the whole, we have a good temperament, with each member approaching tasks in calm and collected manner, meaning that stress and unnecessary feuds are kept to a minimum.
